Knight Frank is looking to hire a Senior Tax Consultant to work in industry for a leading independent property consultancy firm on Personal and Partnership Tax Matters on a 12 Month FTC.

Role:

The Senior Tax Consultants role is compliance focussed, you will be responsible for your own allocation of Partners’ Self-Assessment Tax Returns and for reviewing Self-Assessment Tax Returns prepared by other department members. As a part of the team you will also undertake work on the following areas: completion of the Partnership Tax Computations and identifying disallowable expenditure, Partners tax reserving, Partners profit share allocations, ad-hoc tax queries and projects. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Partners Self-Assessment Tax Returns including liaising with third parties where necessary and answering partners tax queries.
  • Reviewing Self-Assessment Tax Returns prepared by other department members.
  • Administration of payments to HMRC to meet partners taxation liabilities.
  • Completion of the Tax Computations for the Partnership and Partnership Tax Returns.
  • Allocation of the partnership profits between the partners for inclusion on their Self-assessment Tax Returns.
  • Assisting with Partner tax reserving matters and producing annual reserving reconciliation statements.
  • Liaising with partners 3rd party accountants.
  • Identification of tax planning opportunities and identifying most tax efficient methods for claiming reliefs for expenditure, to reduce the Partnership disallowances.
  • Ad hoc tax planning projects as required.

 

Key Experience Required:

  • Qualifications required- preferred Degree level and CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Prior experience of completing Tax computations and Personal Tax Returns.
  • A good working knowledge of Income Tax, and other relevant Tax Legislation.
  • Prior experience of partnership and corporate structures (preferable).
  • Prior use of Digita (preferable).
  • Regular updates on legislation and attending CPD courses.
