We are looking for a dedicated Property Journalist (Senior Research Analyst) to join our team and support our Global Head of Research. This pivotal role involves generating insights on wealth themes and global prime property markets. As an Analyst, you will be instrumental in developing a comprehensive suite of insights that address key real estate issues, directly contributing to strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct thorough analysis of global prime property markets and wealth-related themes.
  • Manage databases containing economic, demographic, and real estate market data.
  • Collaborate with the Global Head of Research to produce regular reports and presentations highlighting trends and insights in the real estate sector.
  • Assist in creating white papers, sector reports, and market analyses.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data and reports through rigorous validation and quality control measures.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders

 

Operating Environment: This role is based within the Residential Research team at Knight Frank’s office on 55 Baker Street. Daily management will be overseen by the Global Head of Research, Liam Bailey. 

 

Experience and Qualifications:

 

  • Background in journalism, data journalism, or research is advantageous.
  • University degree (1st or 2:1) or relevant industry experience.
  • Proven ability to analyze statistical data and transform it into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a history of producing high-quality reports.
  • Strong proficiency in written communication and Excel.
  • Demonstrated capability to ensure accuracy in data handling, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to extract and communicate key results and stories from the data.
  • Personal skills suited to working within a professional team environment as well as engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on projects.
  • A strong interest in real estate markets.

 

Technical Skills:

 

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
