Our Research department is looking to recruit an analyst to focus on analysis and data manipulation and visualisation for the Seniors Housing team. The role will focus on research service delivery for the Seniors Housing team and supporting data capture for the wider Living Sectors Research team.
The Seniors Housing team’s engagement with research is evolving and the role that data plays in the decision-making processes within the team is growing. Research is involved in all of the team’s key areas of work including agency, valuations and consultancy.
The analyst’s responsibilities will involve sourcing, manipulating and optimising the use of various data sources to support these activities as well as feeding into market-leading research publications.
Operating environment
- The role is based within the Residential Investment Research team that sits within the wider Global Research team at Knight Frank’s 55 Baker Street office.
- Day to day management will be undertaken by Ned Chehalfi, the lead analyst for Seniors Housing Research and Knight Frank’s, Head of Living Sectors Research & Consultancy.
- The role is focussed specifically on the delivery of a research service to the Seniors Housing team.
The role
- Access, maintain, and master key external and proprietary databases to support the Seniors Housing research team and the wider Seniors Housing team;
- Preparation of regular datasheets, dashboards and written reporting for internal and external stakeholders;
- Collection of data from external stakeholders used to report on the Seniors Housing market;
- Assistance with the creation of market presentations to support client meetings;
- Assistance with ad-hoc data requests from the Seniors Housing team;
- Assistance with the development of new models and methodology in key areas of the Seniors Housing market
- Working with the wider research team to establish market trends and drivers;
- Working with and assisting the Seniors Housing research lead;
- Training will be provided where necessary. However, we expect a high level of aptitude in order to implement new skills quickly and effectively.
Experience
- University degree (1st or 2:1) or relevant industry experience
- Strong numeracy and Excel skills
- Demonstrable capability to ensure accuracy in handling data, with excellent attention to detail
- Personal skills suited to working within a professional team environment as well as for a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on projects
- An interest in real estate markets is an advantage

- MS Office (in particular MS Excel)
- Interactive data visualization software such as Power Bi, Flourish or similar
- Real estate data systems such as Co-Star, Radius, RCA, Property Data and Agents Insight or similar
- ArcGIS Pro or equivalent geospatial software
- SQL Server
