The Knight Frank Research Analytics department is looking to recruit a Senior Geospatial Analyst into our award-winning Geospatial team. Help us design innovative analysis, enable meaningful research and effect real change in the built environment through our diverse range of clients. Our Geospatial capability drives understanding of the relationships between people, places, markets and environments. Thought-provoking analytical products are used to engage all manner of stakeholders including clients, industry partners, academia and the public sector.
We are the world’s leading independent international property consultancy, headquartered in the UK, offering agency and professional advice across Commercial, Residential and Rural sectors. Established in 1896, Knight Frank now comprises a global network of over 20,000 people in 487 Offices across 53 Territories.
As a Senior Geospatial Analyst, your role will be to strengthen and advance the use of geospatial methods and outputs across this stakeholder group, taking ownership of related research themes and becoming a trusted and indispensable advisor.
You will already be established in geospatial analytics or data visualisation, bringing rich experience in the delivery of location insight products to high level stakeholders and clients. You may also have a background in social sciences, statistics, policy, communication, town planning, or environmental management, where these include a substantial focus on technology or big data in addressing operational needs and reaching target audiences.
You will be actively encouraged to look at new ways to analyse and visualise data, and you will bring the vision, spontaneity and confidence to contribute ideas that gain traction with our clients and wider PropTech commentators. Your communication skills will be honed to engage and respond to particularly senior stakeholders, and you’ll arrive full of ideas but equally willing to learn.
We are looking for creativity, diversity, and a passion for what you do. You’ll join a team who are keen to innovate and who have fun doing it. As a Senior Analyst at Knight Frank you won’t fit the mould, you’ll help shape it.
You will have:
- A qualification in Geographical Information Science, Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, Town Planning or similar, coupled with a relevant MSc or comparable work experience.
- Experience of creating, visualising and managing complex spatial data.
- Experience and understanding of ESRI products, such as ArcGIS Pro & ArcGIS Online.
- More than 5 years commercial industry experience.
- Client-facing experience and an ability to work in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
It will be highly desirable for you to have:
- A Chartered accreditation, such as Chartered Geographer, Chartered Land Surveyor, Chartered Environmentalist or Chartered Town Planner.
- Competence in Geoprocessing tools such as Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst and 3D analyst extensions.
- Experience in a programming language, such as Python / ArcPy, R or Jupyter Notebook.
- Knowledge of relational databases, such as SQL and data management skills.
- Knowledge of spatial data interoperability.
- Strong knowledge of OS products, and awareness of industry demographic and market data sources like Land Registry, CACI, Experian, VOA and ONS.
If you’re ready to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we’d love to hear from you.
