An opportunity has arisen to join us here at Knight Frank, and we are currently seeking a Sales Ledger Assistant.


In the Sales Ledger Assistant role, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and authorising all invoices submitted and ensuring that all VAT rules relating to invoices are correct at the time of billing
  • Processing all credit notes and any amendments required to invoices
  • Processing any internal departmental charges (IDC’s) and Joint Agent provisions that have been omitted from invoices.
  • Liaising with office manager, negotiators, and Partners regarding queries which may arise from the production of an invoice.
  • Processing of downloads of fees raised, fees paid and IDC’s from Lettings departments.
  • Assisting Management Accounts with queries and journal entries that may arise from department fee reconciliations.
  • Preparing appropriate journal entries which may be required following the issue of a bill to a client.
  • Ensuring that all 3rd party payments are passed to Purchase Ledger for weekly payment run
  • Ensuring all billed write offs are processed on a timely basis.
  • Allocation of BACS and cheque payments daily.
  • Keeping all unmatched cash to a minimum.
  • Monitoring the foreign exchange account to ensure that when payments clear they are allocated correctly and in a timely manner.


To be successful in the Sales Ledger Assistant role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Full understanding and practical knowledge of Sales Ledger function with 1 – 2 years’ experience
  • Strong computer literacy, including Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic accounts knowledge
  • Experience of SAP All in One Accounting would be beneficial
