The primary focus of this role is in advocating the benefits of best practice, training staff to maximise the usage and benefit from the hub systems platform used by the firm. The role requires a strong understanding of the system and the business processes it supports, and this information needs to be clearly articulated to non-technical staff with a broad range of technical confidence at all levels of the company.


Activities will cover planning, developing and delivering systems training via workshops/presentations/one-to-one sessions - delivered at the end users offices, across the county, to support their departments.


Knight Frank has a property platform which has been developed in-house (hub).  This platform spans the whole of the firm and much of the training team’s time is spent working with developers and product owners while updating documentation and training plans each time changes are implemented and training staff on new features.  


The recruited trainer for this role must be prepared to learn hub ‘inside and out’ alongside the business process this underpins.

Responsibilities will include:


  • Training and support on the use of the firm’s Property platform, hub (bespoke) and any other systems that are linked to hub
  • Visiting multiple offices on a week-by-week basis, visiting each Residential office on a quarterly basis
  • Updating on improvements, sharing tips and tricks, Q&A on common pain points and feeding back ideas to improve
  • One to one (or smaller group) sessions with support individuals at their desks for ‘hands on’ how to training on specific topics
  • Re-group with team to re-cap on key points to help consolidate learning, alongside playing back trainers observations/follow-ups
  • Understanding business processes, needs and problems and ensuring systems usage is linked with these processes
  • Support with updating hub quick reference guides
  • Understand all changes being developed within hub. This will give you confidence when demoing/training these to end users during the office visits.
  • Feedback and input into future improvements and enhancements to hub, Answering ‘how do I’ questions from the firm, by telephone, email, in-person


Aptitudes/Skills Required 

  • The role relies heavily upon inter-personal skills, an approachable personality along with the ability to persuade and ‘sell-in’ (using a range of training methods) the vision of getting the business to make better use of technology. However, a solid grounding and grasp of technical concepts will also be required 
  • High level of drive and motivated to go the extra mile to deliver key messages. Ability to work independently and in a team 
  • Excellent oral communication/presentation skills and hands-on problem-solving skills 
  • Keen/quick learner - flexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding new technologies and business processes
