This role sits in the Digital and Data Office, based in our 55 Baker Street Head Quarters. Digital and Data are one of the teams in our Business Services function, supporting our Commercial and Residential colleagues to deliver a suite of best-in-class services to our customers and clients.

Role Summary:

This role encompasses Product Ownership of Commercial property market portals. The scope of the role is multi-dimensional, supplier management, product development and evolution, and system monitoring, evangelism, and advocacy. It requires a blend of experience in identifying and maximising the business value of technical solutions alongside deep understanding of Commercial property market dynamics and processes. This person will be responsible for managing key internal stakeholders and external suppliers alike and will be accountable for the delivery of strategic objectives whilst steadfastly protecting the interests of the firm.

 

Responsibilities

 

System Ownership, Account Management & Strategic Planning

 

  • Develop and lead the delivery of our Commercial Product Strategy, monitoring and horizon scanning of current and potential Commercial Data Products:
  • Working across multiple teams to ensure usage remains compliant within the terms of all license agreements.
  • Management and communication of system issues, potential development, and procurement process efficiencies.
  • Create and maintain regular progress reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure regular touchpoints with users and suppliers, driving clear and consistent communication. Manage key meetings and the actions flowing from those meetings. such as Account manager meetings, User Group and trial co-ordination and CAB meetings.
  • Translate the Product Strategy to map to our Business Strategy.

Liaison, Communication & Advocacy

  • Accountable for compliant license management, and data usage - handling internal escalation of any deviations from these.
  • Ability to represent, interface / engage with internal business users and senior stakeholders alike. Capture the business requirement and work to deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Gravitas to present to and communicate with all stakeholders. Be visible, vocal, and objective.
  • Solution-minded with experience of documenting business processes and requirements.
  • Ability to communicate with non-technical business users and liaise with technical development teams. Ability to prioritize enhancements based on the business case.
  • The ideal candidate will have a track record of skilfully managing key supplier relationships.

 

Knowledge Profile

  • Understanding of commercial real estate systems, data platforms and user requirements.
  • Process driven, demonstrates process set-up and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work across different platforms, with different teams, stakeholders, and account managers.
  • Excellent, all-round communicator. Professional and confident interpersonal, writing and communications skills.
  • High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced negotiation skills.
  • Team-player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment with technical and non-technical colleagues alike, working closely with end users from all areas of the business and Data and IT teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types.
  • Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems

 

Career Experience Required

 

  • Subject matter expertise of Commercial property market information, analytics and marketing data services – minimum 5 years
  • Product owner experience preferable.
  • Team-player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment with technical and non-technical colleagues alike.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills .

 

Qualifications / Experience

  • Degree-level and/or 5+years equivalent work experience of Commercial Property systems and of supporting staff preferably within Commercial Property (or equivalent Sales) environment, with an excellent level of exposure to business processes and systems

 

Systems and IT Competencies

 

Essential:

    • Full Microsoft Office suite of products
    • Commercial property market information, third party commercial property databases, analytics and marketing data services
