Knight Frank is looking to hire a Partner Fire Engineer to join our diverse Building Consultancy team.

Role:
Chartered Partner Fire Engineer driving growth of the fire consultancy service within the Building Consultancy department. Responsible for fire safety systems, consultancy, project management, and compliance across commercial properties. Works with other teams to expand business and manage client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consultancy on fire engineering matters, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Conduct technical due diligence and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and review Fire Strategies, Fire Risk Assessments, and External Wall Fire Risk Assessments (PAS 9980).
- Develop and review Building Safety Case Reports to support compliance and risk management.
- Perform fire modelling and simulations to assess fire behaviour and effectiveness of safety measures.
- Manage fire safety projects, including specification development and implementation of solutions.
- Advise on fire safety regulations, Health & Safety, and CDM legislation.
- Generate new business through client relationships, market engagement, and business development.
- Attend industry events and promote the firm’s expertise in fire safety.
- Ensure profitability of instructions, meeting fee income targets and managing billing effectively.
- Prepare proposals, pitches, marketing materials, and thought leadership articles.
- Maintain high professional standards, confidentiality, and clear communication with stakeholders.
- Support and mentor junior team members, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
- Champion best practices, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance.
Key Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers/Institute of Fire Safety Managers.
- 5+ years relevant experience of fire engineering in commercial and residential property sector.
- Understanding and experience of fire safety codes and standards, H&S and CDM legislation relevant to fire safety.
- A full understanding of the components of commercial buildings and ability to describe the constructional elements, and a basic understanding of JCT Contracts.
