Knight Frank is the leading independent international property consultancy based in the UK offering agency and professional advice across Commercial, Residential and Rural real estate sectors. 

 

Based in the London Head Office, our Marketing & Communications department is looking to hire an experienced PR Executive to join its Commercial PR team.  This will be for an initial 12 month fixed term contract.  Reporting into the Commercial PR Manager, this is an ideal role for a PR Assistant or Junior PR Executive looking to take the next step in their career.

 

This role will support the PR strategy for the firm’s Commercial division. Working closely alongside the PR Managers, the PR Executive will proactively identify and develop PR stories to support the business across a variety of platforms, to maximise opportunities for coverage as well as responding to reactive media requests.

 

The ideal candidate should be a capable, articulate and efficient individual with an understanding of communications and the media landscape. The candidate should be self-sufficient and able to confidentially manage multiple deadlines and contribute to a strong and friendly team culture.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Support the Commercial PR Managers with all PR activity for the UK Commercial division, with a particular focus on the 10 UK regional offices
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key B2B media, including property and business trades, national and regional titles
  • Work closely with the firm’s Commercial Research team to identify and develop stories, trends and topics to place strategic news pieces and support media strategies for key publication launches
  • Pitch and arrange journalist briefings and comment opportunities for key spokespeople where relevant
  • Generate proactive press coverage delivering real value to the business and raising the profile of key individuals and Commercial teams
  • Manage and drive the relationship with the network of 10 UK regional offices and their PR consultants. You will be the main point of contact for all UK regional offices
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contributing to regular meetings where appropriate and working with the wider PR team to boost coverage opportunities
  • Proactively work with the wider Marketing & Communications department to deliver joined-up campaigns in support of the Commercial division across the UK
  • Conduct annual, quarterly and monthly reporting of press coverage results for all service lines using our media monitoring system
  • Oversee Commercial PR team administration, such as press cuttings and reporting

 

Particular Aptitudes/Skills required:

               

  • Candidate should have at least 1-2 years of PR experience (agency or in-house)
  • An interest in and understanding of the Commercial real estate landscape or transferable experience in a similar sector
  • Candidate should have strong organisational skills - able to multitask and work across several projects at one time
  • Can-do, collaborative and proactive attitude, willing to get involved in all tasks and seek strong results
  • Creative and willing to bring forward new ideas and new ways of working
  • Excellent skills in all written communications and keen attention to detail
  • Excellent time-management skills and able to respond professionally and efficiently
  • Able to contribute to a strong and friendly team culture
  • Confident and articulate; able to communicate with people across all levels of the organisation, including senior level, and approach journalists to sell in ideas and discuss opportunities
  • Candidate must be comfortable with working beyond traditional PR role as the team is fully integrated with the wider Business Services department
