Based in our Global HQ at Baker Street, the Marketing and Communications & Digital (MCD) team provides support and assistance for both UK and International Knight Frank offices, in formulating and implementing the relevant strategies and marketing campaigns.  Our role is to maximise omni-channel brand impressions that protects and enhances our firm’s reputation while generating high quality commercial and residential enquiries, globally.

Job Summary

The Head of Estate Agency Marketing will work alongside the business to maintain and elevate our reputation as a premium property firm across the UK and in our chosen International markets. This role will help the business grow market share through driving leads and continuing to increase brand awareness.

Working collaboratively with the business as an advisor, you’ll develop Marcoms strategies that will help achieve these goals through a seamlessly delivered set of activities. It is crucial that you are able to inspire and motivate both your team and the stakeholders you work with. You will be adept at working in a high energy, highly rewarding, matrix stakeholder environment.

This role is crucial to our business plan and strategy – to align our UK markets and continue to drive business growth targets. Within the Marcoms Leadership team, this role carries with it a remit to innovate and drive marketing with measurable results, ensuring we are a core component to the business’s success.

 

Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Work with the business to develop a strategic marketing plan and framework that will aid the UK and International sales and lettings offices as well as the Private Office to meet their business objectives
  • Lead a new way of working with the offices and direct the creation of Quarterly toolkits
  • Lead and advise the business on innovative and creative marketing solutions
  • Manage a wide variety of marketing projects, including taking the appropriate brief, setting up cross-team project teams, delivering on-time and on-budget
  • Develop strong collaborative business partner relationships with stakeholders both through our marketing forums and boards but also on a day to day basis
  • Have the ability to hold challenging conversations with senior stakeholders to influence decisions

 

Clear and consistent communication

  • Advise on and develop marketing best practice in collaboration with the Residential marketing team, agencies and business stakeholders
  • Present both marketing strategy, plans and results to senior stakeholders and cross-function teams
  • With your team, translate the strategy into deliverable, results-focused marketing activity – adjusting activity through regular, data driven, planning sessions with the business
  • Commercial Acumen: Manage the UK residential sales and lettings, and Private Office, marketing budgets, advising on appropriate level of investment, tracking and reporting
  • Advise and manage on project budgets

 

Leadership

  • Inspire and motivate team and aid individual career development
  • Ensure your line reports are effectively working with the content and channel teams to identify opportunities to generate enquiries – in line with targets agreed with the business
  • Brief and manage relationships with external agencies
  • Advisory Mindset: Analyse and evaluate project briefs to recommend and manage the most efficient approach to delivery 
  • Data-driven marketing decision making, and reporting to aid future decision making
  • Work with our data team to define our data model, ensuring your team and business stakeholders have the right information to guide decision making
  • Boards: advisory seat on London Sales & Lettings boards, Country board, Residential Ops board and the Residential Marketing Committee
  • Adaptability/Collaboration: Work with the Marketing Operations/Channel expert team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of each work stream within the strategy, in order to deliver on time, on budget and with a flawless attention to detail
  • Ensure that each project is maximised in terms of a fully integrated approach (ie inc Social/PR)
  • Support the Group Head of Marketing in key projects

 

Professional experience and personal skills profile

  • The successful candidate for this role will have a wide range of abilities. These include:
  • Marketing qualification and/or ten + years marketing experience preferred.
  • Industry experience preferable
  • Excellent stakeholder management, listening and influencing skills  
  • Experience of using the entire marketing mix to deliver impactful campaign and results  
  • Exceptional team player, this role requires a highly collaborative approach  
  • Demonstrable experience in managing creative and media agencies  
  • Ability to get hands on with delivery and production as needed  
  • Excellent copywriting, proof-reading skills and an exceptional eye for detail
  • Confident and articulate; ability to listen, communicate with and present to people at all levels of the organisation  
  • Flexible, adaptable and collaborative; able to work individually and as part of a team   
  • Pro-active and a strong sense of self-motivation 
  • Experience of client nurturing and persona development desirable
