Our Health & Safety team are looking to recruit a HSE Advisor to join there expanding team.  The HSE function sits within the Strategy, Risk and Operations department.  You will be supporting the general business as part of the HSE team, you will be responsible for delivering part of our internal audit program and managing our 45001 Certification for the Rural Asset Management department. The role will include travel around the UK and engagement with a wide stakeholder group including Facilities Managers, onsite employees, and contractors.


In the HSE Advisor role you will be responsible for:


  • Overseeing the investigation of accidents as deemed necessary and compiling suitable reports and action plans.
  • As part of our ISO 45001 Management system for Property Management, undertaking internal audits to an agreed program, and compiling suitable reports and action plans in a timely manner.
  • Providing input into the effectiveness and continual improvement of the ISO 45001 Management systems for Property Management, taking the lead for Rural Asset Management.
  • Overseeing the implementation and operation of BSI BS9997 including the management of the online platform.
  • Developing, delivering and facilitate health, safety and environment training as necessary.
  • Assisting all staff with general health, safety and environmental management enquiries by providing the best and most cost effective, but compliant, solution to HSE matters.
  • Assisting with the development of policy, procedure and risk assessment in line with best practice, ensuring continued compliance with statutory obligations.
  • Implementing the requirements of the safety management systems including, where necessary, travel to regional offices/locations.
  • Maintaining a record of all safety management documentation, ensuring it remains up to date, and assisting with documentation review as necessary.
  • Supporting our Rural, Lettings, Consultancy, HR, and other teams as required.


The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent HSE experience and a proven track record of engaging with people at all levels of a business to deliver practical operational improvements, along with a strong background in property management, facilities management and ESG. The role is ideally suited to an individual with 5 + years’ experience working in a health and safety role and wishing to develop their role.
