The Knight Frank Global Research team in London are currently looking to recruit a Geospatial Technician to join our CapDev team in our Baker Street HQ. In this role, you will create and organise high quality geospatial data layers using a number of techniques. You should already be adept at spatial data digitisation using the trace tool.
Your analysis will not be limited to the UK and your data stewardship will cover each of the global markets Knight Frank operates in. You’ll join a committed team of geographers, statisticians, data scientists and technical specialists who are passionate about what we do and who have fun doing it.
Experience:
- Numerate degree e.g., Maths, Geomatics, Geographical Information Science Or an undergraduate degree in Town Planning, Geography, Environmental Science etc., coupled with a numerate MSc
- Experience and understanding of ArcGIS Pro
- Experience in advanced data analytics and visualisation
- Advanced data creation and spatial data management skills
- Use of job querying management system as directed
Highly desirable:
- Experience in the deployment of Esri’s suite of GIS products
- Experience and understanding of ArcGIS Online
- Knowledge of data interoperability and moving spatial data to Google Earth, CartoDB
- Excel skills e.g. VLookup, Pivot tables, conditional formatting
- Strong knowledge of OS products, and awareness of industry demographic and market data sources like Land Registry, CACI, Experian, VOA and ONS
- Experience and understanding of Python / ArcPy
- Experience and understanding of Jupyter Notebook
- Experience and understanding of SQL
