Knight Frank are looking to recruit a Geospatial Developer into our multi-award-winning Geospatial Team with a collaborative, supportive and open culture. Help us design innovative analysis, enable meaningful research and effect real change in the built environment across the UK through our diverse range of clients.

The main technologies we work with are Esri’s ArcGIS suite (Pro, Online, Server/Enterprise, ArcPy, APIs), Python and MS SQL Server. We use VS Code for editing and GitHub for version control. You will have opportunities to identify and experiment with relevant emerging tools, and broaden our technical horizons.

The key priorities of the role are to help increase the impact of geospatial information across Knight Frank through automation, continuous improvement, development of best practices, innovation and R&D.

Tasks may include:

·         Analysis design and implementation using Python, Esri, and other tools when needed

·         Data extract-transform-load from a wide range of sources

·         Documentation

·         Geodatabase management (Esri / SQL Server)

·         Python script review and improvement, module design and development, and unit testing

·         Technical communications, including training colleagues or customers when needed

·         Troubleshooting and debugging Esri web apps and services

·         Web app development (e.g. ArcGIS JavaScript API, Web AppBuilder)

·         Web GIS administration (ArcGIS users, groups, services, app configuration)

·         Version control and repository management (GitHub)

This role will suit you if you; are deeply interested in solving problems using technology, are organised and logical, can apply sustained attention to detail and analytical thought to projects, manage time effectively, and are committed to lifelong learning and continuous professional development.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with higher education incorporating Geographic Information Science or Computer Science, or equally from those with comparable training, qualifications or experience.

You will have experience working with a programming language (or languages), and with geospatial data and relational database management systems, preferably on professional projects using Python and Esri / ArcGIS. You will have knowledge of web technologies and version control.

Experience working with national-scale geographic datasets, of ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise administration, or of database administration would all help you to become effective in the role, as would knowledge of software development methodologies and of Windows-based enterprise IT.

Prior knowledge of the Real Estate and PropTech industries would be useful, but not essential.

We are an inclusive employer committed to recruiting and supporting balanced teams in every part of our business.
