The role will report into the Commercial Finance Partner while providing direct support to relevant departments within the Commercial business of Knight Frank LLP.

 

Business Partner/Analyst support currently for two sub-divisions (UK Cities and London Offices) within the Commercial business. Assisting management in interpreting performance and providing guidance and support during periodic planning cycles.

 

Specific duties to include:

  • Develop detailed understanding of fee-earning departments including overarching risks and opportunity vs plan
  • Guide department heads through budget, forecast and LRP processes
  • Regular analysis on staff costs, discretionary expenditure, accommodation and other costs etc.
  • Prepare monthly income and cost analysis / performance summaries
  • Present performance updates to sub-divisional boards
  • Tracking and post-investment appraisal on projects/capital expenditure including systems, team expansion, key hires etc.
  • Ad-hoc viability analysis; fee-earner recruitment, service line expansion, office moves etc.
  • Work with central accounts to ensure queries on actual and plan are dealt with promptly
  • Apportion property management accounts team costs and fee-shares across the service line
  • Work with analysts to prepare and confirm monthly WIP submissions

 

Professional experience and personal skills profile

 

Essential:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Business Partnering experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills incl presenting
  • Capability to build strong working relationships with all levels of seniority within the business
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Flexible and productive working both alone and as part of a team
  • High degree of flexibility and organisation; working to defined timescales

 

Desirable:

  • Experience of SAP, BPC and Business Objects
  • Aptitude to learn new systems quickly and explain them to others
