Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Partner, leading our Corporate ESG Strategy, the role will work across the business to support the development and delivery of the Corporate ESG Strategy and associated programmes. This role will be part of Knight Frank’s Executive Office and will include (but not limited to) the following duties:
- Working with Partner, Corporate ESG Strategy and other members of the Executive Office to continue to develop the corporate ESG strategy to ensure it is fit for purpose in both the short and long term;
- Programme manage key environmental and social projects (such as Net Zero, Social Impact), working closely with other internal stakeholders across the business for implementation against our corporate goals and commitments,
- Assist with the development and review of corporate policies, roadmaps and action plans relating to the Corporate ESG strategy
- Provide subject matter expertise to support other parts of the business operationalise our corporate strategy.
- Support the Corporate Impact Steering Group, Client Services Steering Group and Global ESG Alliance Group to deliver in line with its Terms of Reference by developing agendas, issuing minutes and actions and preparing presentations. Attend and participate as necessary.
- Compile information about Corporate ESG programmes and initiatives, working with the ESG Engagement Manager to disseminate across the business
- Manage ESG reporting initiatives, working both on program development and implementation including corporate and client data requirements.
- Ensure the gathering and collation of data to monitor key ESG metrics and initiatives; making available for reporting monthly to Corporate Impact Steering Group and bi-monthly Group ESG Board.
- Work with the ESG Engagement Manager to raise the profile of Knight Frank’s corporate ESG work externally and internally, as well as represent Knight Frank at industry/corporate events (ie. UKGBC, BBP, BPF events and conferences).
- Act as global co-ordinator for corporate ESG programmes alignment and associated data collection with global partner network.
- Support our ESG Ambassador network as directed by Corporate ESG Strategy partner and Business Development team.
- Ensure alignment of strategy with other key internal stakeholders (Head of ESG Research and ESG Consulting Team) as necessary.
- Serve as the corporate ESG liaison with internal departments and external partners.
- Contribute to new ESG ideas to keep the program exciting, relevant and leading by example where possible.
Qualifications:
- A good understanding of the real estate sector (preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrate a good understanding of corporate ESG issues including knowledge of regulatory issues
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and effectively champion a position within multiple competing priorities
- Ability to effectively communicate and translate complex technical information across multiple audiences, from internal business meetings
- Passion for driving ESG achievements
- Ability to perform quantitative tasks with speed and accuracy, including collection and management of data
- Ability to achieve goals through influence and objective-sharing without direct authority
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in energy management, environmental science, policy, engineering, sustainable development, institutional planning or related field
- A minimum of 2-5 years experience working in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability/ESG
- Experience working with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
Person Specification:
- To succeed in this role you will have excellent knowledge and experience on ESG issues relevant to corporate business operations. This will be from a professional-services and/or real estate organisation.
- You will have experience in project management, including strong planning, influencing and negotiation skills. You will be a real people person, with the ability to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
- You will have delivered ESG initiatives with demonstrable outcomes. As a pro-active individual, you will also be numerate and analytical, strong on MS programmes and have outstanding presentation skills.
- Finally, you will be highly motivated with a personal passion for all things ESG.
