We are looking for a Data Protection Specialist to join our Data Protection Team. This team is part of our Strategy, Risk and Operations department based within our Head Office at Baker Street.


The Data Protection team support us by ensuring that all legal and regulatory obligations are being met in all data processing activities. As such this role is key in the effective running of our business. The primary responsibility of this role will be working alongside the Data Protection Officer who has overall responsibility for data protection of the business. This role will be a great opportunity to develop a data protection specialist and gain relevant qualifications.


As a Data Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for;

  • Operational support of the data protection function including the review and monitoring of policies and procedures
  • Delivering privacy training and increase awareness across the business, engaging with the UK and Group Data Protection Champions Network
  • Identify new privacy risks for the Privacy Risk Register, and propose mitigating controls/ actions and assist in any investigations
  • Support the development of the Knight Frank Privacy Advisory Workbook which captures queries from the business and responses provided by the Data Protection Team
  • Continuously help to strengthen Knight Frank’s first class Group Privacy Framework


You will have 2 – 3 years of experience with the application of data protection law including GDPR, this may be within risk management, legal or compliance of data protection. Additionally, you will have a privacy qualification such as the BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection, the Certified Data Protection Practitioner (CP.dp) or an IAPP qualification or the ambition to study for a qualification.


You will be highly self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly. You will have excellent communication skills along with the ability to contribute to the team and create new ideas. Overall, you will be enthusiastic, positive and proactive.
