Knight Frank is the leading independent property consultancy in the UK offering agency and professional advice across Commercial, Residential and Rural sectors.  A great opportunity has arisen to join us here at Knight Frank, and we are currently seeking an Associate to join our Hotels Department based in our Global HQ at Baker Street, London.

 

Our Hotels department advises on all aspects of the hotel market ranging from sales, development, leasing, franchise agreements and management contracts. This is an opportunity to work within a team that has an unrivalled reputation in the UK and an opportunity to work on a variety of transactions across this field.

 

In the Associate role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing current clients and contacts, as well as sourcing new leads
  • Understanding the hotel business, and to build sound business knowledge together with a keen awareness of the competition
  • Maintaining a high profile to obtain introductions to prospective clients
  • Building and maintaining goodwill, confidentiality, and trust with prospective and existing clients always
  • Managing regular client reporting across multiple assignments and acting as the client’s single point of contact
  • Undertaking research to identify opportunities / to provide benchmarks for clients
  • Supervising the efficient administration of all procedures in carrying out business
  • Performing other tasks delegated by the Partner in charge as required
  • Absorbing all aspects of IT systems particular to the department / understand their broader applications
  • Clearly defining the client’s requirements, agreeing terms of business, confirming requirements and templates required to local broker and confirming fee share
  • Preparing any value-add schedules, monitoring KPI’s, obtaining client feedback and creating case studies for projects as required

 

To be successful in the Associate role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree educated (or equivalent)
  • Newly Qualified RICS
  • Ability to adapt to working with a variety of different types of clients
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate facts clearly and in writing
  • The personality to engage with other professionals and the general public, always promoting the firm in a professional manner
  • Strong accuracy, attention to detail, problem-solving, and management skills
  • The commitment and determination to investigate thoroughly and seek out information necessary for the accurate valuation of property
  • Strong IT skills
  • No specific experience in the hotel sector is required, however a strong track record of brokering sales in either residential or commercial sectors is essential
