We are currently seeking a Research Associate to be responsible for the delivery of technical property market analysis and forecasting across various sectors of the UK property market and to support the creation of innovative and market-leading analytical research and forecasting outputs.


As part of our Commercial Research Department, you will play an important role in the creation and delivery of ambitious and forward-thinking research that will elevate the perception of Knight Frank’s commercial research and wider business. In the Research Associate role, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivery of property market forecasts for key UK property markets
  • Delivery of research/analysis that provides insightful quantitative analysis of relevant themes and trends, covering occupational and investment markets, across a wide range of sectors
  • Supporting the production and delivery of research presentations internally and to clients
  • Supporting and delivering on bespoke client requests and projects
  • Working with out data to advise, coordinate, maintain, and develop our databases
  • Playing a role in the operational functioning of the Commercial Research Team.


To be successful in the Research Associate role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • A degree in an analytical subject
  • Qualitative and quantitative/econometric skills with a strong data and analytical tool set
  • Expertise in regression analysis, ideally with experience of hedonic modelling
  • Experience in statistical analysis and drawing conclusions from data
  • Experience of academic papers and techniques, ideally with experience of replicating/extending the research and the adaptation of models applied to new markets and variables
  • Experience of using one or more of EViews, Stata, Python, R
  • A deep understanding of the drivers of real estate markets and an ability to spot trends in the market
  • A clear writing style and the ability to distil information effectively
  • A collaborative approach and ability to forge strong and effective working relationships across multiple stakeholders
