Group Chief Financial Officer

Reporting to the MD, he/she is a hands-on entrepreneur who believes in delivering results with minimal supervision. You will be managing a team, consisting of a Finance Manager and several executives who successfully manage day-to-day operations.

 

Overall

  • Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
  • Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems

 

Monitoring and Supervision

  • Review current accounting & finance set up, staffing requirements and type of reporting. Propose changes where required.
  • Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel:
  • Management accounting – book keeping, budgeting, group accounts and management reporting.
  • Finance operation – invoicing, payments and collections.
  • Tax compliance.
  • Oversee all audit, tax and other statutory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to financial laws, standards and guidelines.
  • Monitor compliance to various agreements including shareholders agreement.
  • Review current internal control and propose changes where required. Set up monitoring processes to ensure controls are in place.

 

Reporting

  • Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Budgeting
  • Review current budget preparation and propose changes where necessary.
  • Drive budget process and liaise with various departments and subsidiaries.
  • Compile and finalize annual budget.
  • Drive a robust budgeting reporting to Top Management.

 

Strategic

  • Play a key role in the formulation of the business's strategy
  • Advising and implementing best practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Participate in various corporate exercise of the Company including M&A.
  • Develop and manage cashflow, treasury and fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners and banks/lenders.

 

 

Skills & Experience required

  • ACCA/CPA with professional qualifications in CIMA, MIA, or MICPA.
  • Local Malaysian with a minimum of 15 years of experience, excels in corporate finance, cash-flow planning, and stakeholder management.
  • Analytical, creative, solution-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Possess excellent business acumen with strong communication and leadership skills.
