Overview

 

Knight Frank is expanding rapidly in the Energy, Sustainability and Natural Resources sectors and are building an industry leading team with broad experience and international coverage. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced senior professional to deliver bespoke solutions to clients. You will play a crucial role in advising clients on integration of sustainable principles and practices into their operations, aligning their business goals with global sustainability standards. You will also be responsible for business development, P/L oversight and recruiting a team to deliver services.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Generate and manage client instructions in some or all of the following areas:
    • Sustainability consultancy in line with local and international standards;
      • Estidama, ESOS, SECR, GRESB or other specialist reporting and/or disclosures, EMS/ISO14001, green travel planning, and other initiatives.
      • Covering all stages of the real estate asset lifecycle from acquisition, design, asset management, operational property management, refurbishment/redevelopment, and disposal. 
    • Energy Consultancy;
      • Efficiency initiatives, renewables projects, online dashboards and analytics platforms. 
    • ESG Consultancy;
  • Utilise existing client relationships to generate fee income for the firm.
  • Pro-actively explore and develop the existing Knight Frank client base across the MENA region.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across the firm’s service lines and offices. Share clients to maximise business generation.
  • Participate in global Knight Frank initiatives to create, update and align internal objectives, strategies and goals on energy, sustainability and ESG.
  • Attend events to promote the department and firm amongst clients and professional organisations.
  • Maintain a high professional profile and be continually alert to business opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of evolving relevant standards and reporting frameworks to ensure compliance.
  • Foster the professional image of Knight Frank at all times.
  • Understand and adhere to Knight Frank’s best practices and protocols.
  • Ensure provision of high-quality client advice.
  • Maintain confidentiality in respect of all work undertaken and to be aware of what is likely to be sensitive information.
  • Leadership and people management.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to client communications.

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience specific to the provision of sustainability, energy and ESG advice to real estate owners and occupiers.
  • Sound knowledge of the global Energy, Sustainability and ESG markets and the extent and nature of advice provided.
  • Proven track record of success in project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Understanding of regional business culture and regulations.
  • Certifications and Licenses: MRICS desired but not essential.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English.
  • Travel: Flexible attitude towards travelling.
