This is a full-time role for a highly motivated, results driven Research Director supporting the Managing Partners in our Berlin Office. 

 

Operating environment

  • The role is a standalone within our Berlin office team, in regular contact with the Regional Research Business Partner sitting in our Head Office in London and the wider European Research network.
  • The role is focussed specifically on the delivery of a research service to Knight Frank’s Berlin office

Responsibilities

 

Working with Knight Frank’s Berlin team, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of market research and thought leadership outputs, covering the Berlin and East Germany markets.  Experience in either Commercial or Residential Investment sectors is ideal.  You will be responsible for advancing the quality and insights contained within our public facing research, together with ensuring that our clients and prospective clients are directly exposed to our market knowledge.  You will be skilled at sourcing, managing and interpreting data and creating narratives that go beyond the data to highlight implications for real estate occupiers, developers and investors. You will contribute market insights and intelligence to the wider team to support client engagement. 

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

  • The production of regular internal and external market updates/reports;
  • Working with stakeholders and third party providers to generate flagship reports;
  • Direct client engagement and presentations of the Living Sectors markets;
  • Actively collect and use relevant data, statistics and market intelligence.

 

 

Professional experience and personal skills profile

 

Qualifications/Education Required.

 

  • Educated to degree standard – ideally in economics or property related discipline;
  • Ideally 4-5 years experience analysing real estate markets including experience of the Living Sectors markets.

 

Particular Aptitudes/Skills Required

  • Highly computer literate with thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerBI, and commercial awareness. Other software skills such as SharePoint, GIS, or other statistical software highly desirable
  • A proven interest in real estate.
  • A self-starter who is highly motivated, flexible, proactive and enthusiastic.
  • Native German, Good English language oral and written skills: able to communicate clearly and to listen effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Accurate and methodical in approach.
  • Outstanding desk-based research skills.
  • A highly skilled presenter who is comfortable presenting to large audiences as well as small client groups at short notice.
  • A networker who can build rapport, develop relations, and gain trust with internal stakeholders and external clients.
