Scope

Knight Frank are seeking a candidate for the role of Data Analyst to join our Strategic Consulting and workplace APAC team. The APAC practice is headquartered in Singapore and we are looking to grow a new team in Kuala Lumpur to support our clients. This is an exciting role for someone who likes a dynamic environment where they can build new tools, share new ideas and really drive change.

The Strategic Consulting Practice has service lines that include Workplace Strategy and Change Management, Portfolio Strategy and Location Strategy. The analyst will support consulting projects across all service lines and the role would include financial analytics and developing business cases, portfolio analytics, and workplace activity analytics, as well as economic and demographic analysis, travel analysis and employee surveys. The expectation is to cover all sectors as the team develops and grows.

 

What we are looking for:

  • A BSc or Master’s degree in any subject that demonstrates a desire to analyse data and/or patterns and trends (e.g Economics, Finance, Geography, Maths)
  • A self-motivated individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a determination to succeed
  • An inquisitive mind and desire to innovate and develop new tools and approaches
  • Passionate and strong interest in the future of real estate work, technology, social trends and current affairs.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility and ability to balance a variety of demands
  • MS Excel (intermediate level and above). We will test the candidate in this area and would expect a high competence level.
  • Knowledge of Power BI - intermediate level
  • Knowledge of ERSi ArcGIS - intermediate level
  • Excellent graphical and numerical skills in interpreting and presenting data in Power Point, Excel, Word etc.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Portfolio and Benchmarking analysis – understanding and presenting through dynamic dashboards a client’s portfolio performance and advise on savings opportunities
  • Location analysis – where should our clients be located? Combination of non-economic and economic analysis (demographic profile, labour analysis, competitors and clients mapping, financial appraisal).
  • Geospatial analysis - Preparing commute analysis and labour density analysis
  • Financial Modelling – conducting all type of financial analysis (Cash Flow, P&L, NPV) to support business cases for strategies and real-estate transactions (lease acquisitions, disposals, subleases, renewals & renegotiations, provisions calculations, etc.)
  • Developing analytics tools and templates such as Power BI dashboards
  • Scenario analysis and sensitivity testing
  • Survey and utilisation data analysis and reporting – creating analysis reports for clients employee surveys and space utilisation data to support advisory and consulting projects
  • Preparing and presenting reports to be distributed to senior management and clients C-Suites
  • Visualisation of data to support business cases, reports and presentations
